The research topics of interest to our lab include anyone related to neurosciences applied to anesthesia and the perioperative period, with a special focus on the brain effects of anesthetic agents, consciousness alteration during anesthesia, as well as the perioperative management of patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures. We have expertise in functional brain imaging, electroencephalography, and transcranial magnetic stimulation during sedation and general anesthesia, in the anesthetic management of patients with disorders of consciousness, and in the perioperative management of neurosurgical patients, including enhanced rehabilitation.
